Chili is an amazing source of cheap and healthy food. It can be easily combined with a crock pot to slowly cook while you do something else. This is something that I love to do on the weekend and heat up whenever I have a busy day. It has a bit of spice that also makes it a great recipe in the winter.
1 pound of extra lean ground turkey
3 Garlic cloves
2 (15 oz) cans Kidney beans, dark red
1 tsp Oregano, dried
1 Red bell pepper, medium
1 (15 oz) can Sweet corn
1 (28-ounce) can Tomatoes
1 Yellow onion
1 1/4 cups Chicken broth
1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
4 tbsp Chili powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Olive oil
2 tsp Cumin, ground
1. Brown the turkey and season with all of the produce and baking spices. Then add to crockpot.
2. Add in all of the canned goods.
3. Heat on LOW for at least 5 hours.
